Absolutely Yes!! We welcome you, your entire family & friends. We treat all ages from toddlers to the elderly.
Are you a Preferred Provider?
At Tannum Dental we are a HCF preferred Provider. We do accept all health funds, however the amount of benefit your fund pays is dependent on your level of cover. Feel free to pop into the surgery so we can swipe your card & do a quick quote for you so you know exactly what your out-of-pocket expenses will be.
We discount all check & cleans.
Do you offer Medicare CDBS?
YES. We offer bulk-billed Medicare CDBS approved treatments for all children under 18 that are eligible under the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Scheme. We can check your child’s balance when you provide their Medicare number & reference number. This scheme is income tested so may vary if your income details change over the year. We can always check your eligibility before treatment.
Do you take DVA patients?
YES. We accept all DVA patients. We accept all DVA Gold cards & DVA white card covers specified & accepted service-related injuries & conditions. Some DVA white card treatments require to be approved by DVA prior to treatment.
Is Dr Stella an Orthodontist?
NO. Dr Stella is not an orthodontist. She has a special interest in orthodontics & has successfully completed many ortho cases over the course of her career.
We organise bulk-billed OPG & Lat Ceph scans for you prior to treatment to help with diagnosis. Any treatment outside her scope is referred to a local Orthodontist for treatment so you always get the best results possible. Dr Stella offers pre-orthodontic work such as expanders. She also does braces & clear aligner treatments. Each case is individually assessed & a treatment plan is advised on a case by case basis. We are all individuals & we cater directly to your needs.
I am an extremely nervous, anxious patient. What can you do to help me?
At Tannum Dental your comfort is our priority.. We understand how overwhelming a dental experience for a person who is terrified of dentists can be. Please let us know of your fear or concerns on booking & we can organise medication to help you relax & make your visit as comfortable as possible. We also offer a light massage during some dental treatments.
Why should I have dental treatment if I have no problems or issues?
We strongly believe that 6 monthly active maintenance is essential to keeping on top of your oral hygiene. By having your regular check & clean, we maintain your oral care & can prevent small problems from becoming big, expensive issues. Your mouth is the gateway to your whole body. Serious health complications can arise when infection develops in your mouth or when inflammation is present. By taking good care of your mouth, you can improve your overall general health. Just a reminder, we discount all check & cleans whether you have private health or not so we can make general dental care affordable & minimise your HICAPS out of pocket expenses as we are not the preferred provider for all funds.
